The Omnipresent Knight remained quiet as he heard Yokai's question. "LONG AGO." He finally spoke, his voice once again booming from everywhere and yet nowhere. "WHEN YGGDRASIL WAS STILL A SAPLING. ALL THAT WAS BELONGED TO ME. NO ONE DARED STAND IN MY WAY, NOT EVEN THE DESTROYERS OF OLD...SAVE ONE. THE MOST TERRIBLE OF THEM." The knight explained and as he did so, the space around the trio began to warp and suddenly they'd find themselves in a desertic land, scorched and devoid of any life.
Yet in this harsh, seemingly unliveable climate stood two towering beings standing against each other eye-to-eye, helmets covered their head but the trio could tell behind said helmets, hiding, were piercing glares.
"THAT IS ME." The knight pointed at one of the two warriors. "AND THAT ONE, MY ETERNAL AND GREATEST RIVAL." He replied. "WHAT YOU ARE ABOUT TO WITNESS WAS OUR FINAL SHOWDOWN. THE VERY LAST TIME OUR BLADES CROSSED EACH OTHER." And with that, with blazing speeds the two soldiers clashed swords and a very bright light emanated, Yokai and the others would feel a power they had never felt before- bottomless would be the most suited word to describe it. With that, they had returned to outer space, once again before the mighty knight-shaped being.
"I WILL OFFER YOU POWER BEYOND YOUR WILDEST IMAGINATION...DESIRES BECOME ACTIONS, BUT ONLY IF ONE HAS THE STRENGTH TO DO AS HE WISHES. PERHAPS, YOU WILL KNOW WHAT I WISH TO EXPLAIN WITH A TASTE." With that, this being raised his arm over the trio and they would find themselves empowered. As if they could do everything they pleased, and that no one would possibly dream of getting in their way.
"Mm-hmm. Perhaps more time is needed before we can become more accepting of each other." Axino told Tuvok in a sardonic tone, before he turned to the stranger. "It seems we will be in need of a translator, for these barbarians speak in a very backwater, primitive language, that is very ill-fitting for a figure such as I."
